Client Background:
Terry Robertson is publisher of Dining Compass.com, a Nashville restaurant listing service that allows users to search and locate restaurants based on various criteria including name, area, cuisine type, or special features.
Project Summary:
Terry contacted us to develop a site that would manage dining-related content for patrons and owners in Metro Nashville's rapidly expanding dining scene. In addition to 5 search index types, listings include contact information, links to other associated websites, email and driving directions. Restaurants are then listed in a results pane varying from basic listings to premium listings that include photographs, menus, reviews, and promotions. From a secured administration section, Dining Compass staff can update and maintain listings and present them in either preview mode or live mode. A banner ad system was also employed to allow companies to advertise their services alongside general pages within the site.
